k.BLAM has had a big month. After the triumph of releasing his first full length album and skincare range, you would think it was time to relax… But fate and an Alien Admiral have intervened to make sure that is not the case.

As you will know if you have your shit together, at the album release k.BLAM was contacted by his Admiral of his home race’s Navy, introduced to a pair of Uniform Wizards, ushered into a transformation chamber, cerebrally exploded, transformed into a new dome-free uniform replete with Earth breathing apparatus, and gifted a trumpet of pure light.

Upon hearing about this momentous turn of events, several people have lamented their inability to attend the night, and expressed their desire for some kind of re-enactment. And so it shall be! But louder!  And there’s a hot bird on the poster!

With the added POWER of 47 Diamantes, and the DARK VISIONS of The VBC’s DJ Micah, collectively transmitted through the Garden Bars NEWLY BIGGED SOUND SYSTEM not to mention TONS OF CHEAP PISS, this night WREAKS HAVOC on any plans you might’ve had for a LAME THURSDAY NIGHT! CHEAP PISS? SEE BELOW:

So the album release happened… And it was intense.  Little Bark ripped open the night,

and DJ Ace OK followed suit with his majestic drops.  It seemed nothing could go awry…  But just a few songs in, something happened that would change kazaamBLAM for all time…

In case you didn’t know, kazaamBLAM and M. Ridiculoid have been trapped on Earth for 6000 years, unable to contact their native Zeta 2 Reticuli.  For this reason they have been encoding his music with messages to their home planet, in the hope it would receive airplay and one day be received and responded to by the Reticulan fleet.  And seconds after a rousing cover of dancehall cover of “Iko Iko”, it was.

Lord Quaxoquiotle, Commander of Wizards and Seer of Realms appeared in the midst of Ridiculoids light projections, and began an intense dialogue with kazaam, congratulating him on his survival and communion with humanity, and encouraging him to further this bond in preparation for the great contact to come soon.

With this in mind Lord Quaxo beamed down two Uniform Wizards who ushered k.BLAM into a chamber on stage, where he was stripped of the black spacesuit he has always donned and tailored with an elegant Reticulan Officers uniform, complete with breathing apparatus designed for Earth’s atmosphere! So that was intense.

Some have found themselves bitterly disappointed that they missed this extraordinary occurance, and have requested a re-enactment.  With this in mind, kazaam and Ridiculoid (who recorded Lord Quaxo’s incoming transmission) will be staging a re-enactment tour over the course of the rest of the year, with the first occurring at The Garden Bar in Wellington on Thursday the  12th of August, with support from the banging 47 Diamantes and DJ Micah.

Given the booming nature of the Garden Bar’s newly re-furbished sound system, the only way this will be different is that it will be much louder.

So that rules.   In celebration of this slew of goodness, the Garden Bar will be offering $5 beer, wine and shots till midnight.  BAM!

So if you missed it the first time, don’t repeat the error!  As is now customary, the album and skincare range will be available for purchase at the venue, and the album is always up for grabs from Slow Boat Records and Real Groovy.
